What is the zine about?
This zine focuses on the relationships between three of main protagonists of JJK: Itadori Yuji, Fushiguro Megumi, and Kugisaki Nobara.
Will it be platonic only or allow for ships?
The main focus of the zine will be on the trio and their bond with each other. Ships will be allowed, especially between ItaFushiKugi, but nothing too overt or shippy, as the purpose of this zine is not ships.
Is the zine SFW or NSFW?
It will be SFW.
Is this project for profit or charity?
It is for profit. However, if a contributor and/or mod would prefer to donate their financial compensation to charity, they are welcome to do so! We can pick a charity together as a team with contributors in order to find one if people express an interest.
How will profits be split?
They will be split evenly amongst contributors and mods after expenses. During the production period, we will keep all contributors and buyers up-to-date on the process of what is being ordered and received and a finance document will be shown in the end for transparency.
Is there an age requirement for the zine?
For mod apps, you must be over 18. However, for contributor apps, you must be at least 13 at the time of submitting your application. If you are not over 18 by the time leftover sales close, you must either obtain a legal guardian’s permission to receive financial compensation or it will be donated for charity. It’s a legal thing in the US.
Will there be guest artists or writers?
There will be guests, which are being discussed by mods.
How do I join the zine?
We will open applications for artists, writers, and merch artists on May 14th! They’ll be pretty explanatory, but most likely, we will require at least three samples plus a portfolio from artists and merch artists and then two samples with a maximum 3k and a third optional sample from writers. Having a sample with at least one of the three characters will be preferable, especially for writers in order to get a good idea of characterization. You can find more on application guidelines here.
How many contributors will be accepted?
We are looking for 20-25 artists, 5 writers, and 5 merch artists.
Will contributors receive a free copy of the zine/merch?
If profits allow, contributors will receive a free copy, which is 100% the main goal. Giving back to contributors is the highest priority. However, in the event we do not break even, they will be allowed to buy it at production cost.
Can mods participate in the zine as contributors?
Yes, mods will be able to participate if they want, but it will not affect the amount of contributors that we take.
